Kangaroo Island 2 Day Camping Adventure Itinerary

Combine relaxation with adventure on this 2-day small group tour of Kangaroo Island! Home to breathtaking coastal views and amazing wildlife, it’s no wonder this island is one of Australia’s most popular destinations. As the country’s third-largest island, Kangaroo Island offers something for everyone. Whether you’re a nature enthusiast looking to immerse yourself in the great outdoors or an adventure seeker ready to explore! 

Day one (Lunch & Dinner) 

Start your morning early as you board the bus in Adelaide to take the scenic drive down to Cape Jervis. Relax onboard the 45-minute ferry ride across to Kangaroo Island, keeping an eye out for dolphins at sea. 

Once we have arrived on Kangaroo Island, we’ll head straight to our first stop: Duck Lagoon. Stroll along the Cygnet River, look out for wild koalas, and spot many species of birdlife in the trees. Afterwards, we’ll head to Kingscote, where you’ll have some free time to grab a coffee and shop at the local stores. 

Next up is lunch! Enjoy a local produce platter at Kangaroo Island Brewery and sip on one of their craft brews while soaking in the atmosphere. After lunch, we’ll head to Emu Bay Lavender Farm. Stroll the lavender fields or check out their lavender products at their café store.

Spend the rest of the afternoon hanging by the beach! Take a stroll along Emu Bay Beach or go for a swim in the calm waters of Stokes Bay. That evening, enjoy an Aussie BBQ under the stars before retiring to our cosy glamping accommodation. 

Day two (Breakfast & Lunch) 

We’ll start bright and early to make sure we’ll get the most out of our day, beginning with a fresh breakfast. For our first stop, we’ll head to Flinders Chase National Park to visit the iconic Remarkable Rocks and Admirals Arch. Surround yourself with impressive coastal views before we head to our next stop, Little Sahara! 

Amongst the towering white sand dunes, sit down for a peaceful picnic lunch before having some time to explore. Take in ocean views or try sandboarding down the dunes (own expense). 

In the afternoon, we’ll journey to Seal Bay Conservation Park to meet with a National Park Ranger. Learn all about their conservation efforts as you stroll along the beach, spotting sea lions. 

Our final stop is the township of Penneshaw, where you will have some time to grab dinner (own expense) before taking the ferry back over to Adelaide.
