Is Seal Bay worth visiting?

How can I visit Seal Bay?

From Adelaide, you can reach Seal Bay by driving from the city to Cape Jervis. Then there is a 45 minute ferry to reach Penneshaw (Kangaroo Island). From Penneshaw, it will take around an hour to reach Seal Bay!

The national park has some remarkable wildlife to spot and also some key attractions to see. One of the main ones is the Remarkable Rocks which are some unique rock formations that were formed by natural erosion.

Another attraction inside the national park is the Admirals Arch where there are some New Zealand fur seals! Admirals Arch is a fascinating rock arch that you can view from the boardwalk viewpoints.

Vivonne Bay

Perhaps one of Australia’s most beautiful beaches, Vivonne Bay has soft white sand and gorgeous clear blue water. Vivonne Bay is truly a picture-perfect beach and worth visiting on your trip to Kangaroo Island.

Kingscote

Kingscote is the largest town on Kangaroo Island and one of the best towns to stay at if you plan to visit Kangaroo Island for a few days. The town has great accommodation options, including some with seaside views!

Kangaroo Island Fresh Seafoods has some great fish and chips, or you can go to Cactus for breakfast or lunch.

Make sure you also visit Bay of Shoals Wines to taste some local wines including red and white wines.
