Kangaroo Island is one of Australia’s most divine natural wonderlands, a gorgeous land of abundant wildlife, gorgeous beaches, sweeping cliff top views and some pretty delish produce, too!

Whether you’re hanging out at Vivonne Bay or watching the sea lions at the Seal Bay Conservation Park, meandering around the Flinders Chase National Park or dining on some of the island’s famous food, Kangaroo Island has something for absolutely everybody to enjoy…

Whilst you don’t technically need a tour to visit Kangaroo Island, they are one of the best ways to become fully acquainted with its wonders. Tours will take you to some of the stunning island’s most sublime spots, including Seal Bay, the Kangaroo Island Wildlife Park, wineries and more.

In fact, let’s take a closer look at some of these amazing experiences that a guided Kangaroo Island tour will provide:

Seal Bay Conservation Park

Because who doesn’t want to get up close to one of Australia’s most loveable creatures – the friendly sea lion? These adorable beach chillers live in great numbers at the aptly named Seal Bay Conservation Park, and a guided tour will take you right to where you can see plenty of them enjoying life in their element…

Kangaroo Island Wildlife Park

The Kangaroo Island Wildlife Park is dedicated to conservation on an island that suffered so much in the 2019/2020 bushfires, and it’s also a wonderful place to visit and get up close with some more of the country’s cutest animals.

With the likes of dingo presentations, koala holding, pelican feeding and kangaroo meeting all on the agenda!

Raptor Domain

Raptor Domain, as well as being another fantastic spot for Aussie animals to be rehabilitated before heading back out to the wild, is also host to some pretty awesome birds of prey demonstrations as well as shows with wedge-tailed eagles, kookaburras, owls and more!

The food

A guided Kangaroo Island tour would never be short of sumptuous cuisine, given the island’s reputation for producing some pretty great food. A guided tour will take you to places like the Emu Ridge Eucalyptus Distillery, False Cape Wines for local wine tasting and the legendary Vivonne Bay Bistro for a delectable two course meal!

As you can see, you can do a self-guided Kangaroo Island journey, but with so many awesome activities involved on a guided tour, would you really want to?
