1 Day Kangaroo Island Tour $373

1 Day Kangaroo Island Tour from Adelaide Itinerary

With picture-perfect beaches, stunning greenery, and the sparkle of shallow waters, Kangaroo Island is the epitome of paradise. Home to hundreds of native wildlife species, like wallabies, koalas, echidnas, and kangaroos, it’s the perfect place for animal lovers, or those who just want to get up close and personal with Australia’s beautiful natural scenery.

Our Kangaroo Island Tour from Adelaide lets you discover all of this and more, where you can marvel at cute seals in close proximity and spot some of the local seabirds and marine wildlife.

This adventure-filled day starts with a sea voyage to Kangaroo Island, passing through the incredible backdrop of the Fleurieu Peninsula as we head to Cape Jervis. We’ll pass the beautiful Backstairs Passage, taking in the clear waters and watching the white sands of Penneshaw on Kangaroo Island as they get closer.

Once our feet are on dry land, we’ll walk amongst the wild seals that live on the island, watching them bask in the sun and surf the gentle waves into the sea. There are more than 500 Australian Sea Lions that call Seal Bay home, so there will be plenty of opportunities to catch a glimpse of these cute creatures and snap some memories.

At lunchtime, we’ll tuck into a delicious 2-course lunch, set against a charming country backdrop.

We spend the afternoon in Flinders Chase National Park, an area impacted by the fires of January 2020 and filled with regenerating flora and fauna. Here, we pay a visit to the unique rock formations at Remarkable Rocks. After we’ve soaked up the views and the peaceful natural surroundings, we’ll make our way to Admirals Arch, where you can spot New Zealand Fur Seals and watch flocks of sea birds dipping and diving into the calm, blue waters.

Our final stop on our Kangaroo Island day trip is the Kangaroo Island Wildlife Park. The wildlife park is home to stacks of Australian animals including wombats, penguins and dingoes. Listen to one of the keeper talks to learn more about these fascinating animals or feed the kangaroos for a personal encounter. You can even get your photo taken while holding a koala (at your own expense).

Finally, we’ll head back to Penneshaw for one last glimpse of this natural paradise before hopping on the ferry and going back to Cape Jervis. From there, we’ll continue on to Adelaide, where this animal-packed adventure on a paradise island, unfortunately, comes to an end.
