Vivonne Bay sits on the coast surrounded by 206 hectares of bushland and 1km of beach front on the south of the island. The Bay is ideally located for seeing the island’s top attractions and getting stuck into the main activities.

Part of the appeal of Vivonne Bay Lodge is its remote location, which means its relatively isolated from facilities like supermarkets. However, the Vivonne Bay General Store is within walking distance, where you can pick up snacks, drinks, and the odd burger or two.

At the Lodge itself, continental breakfasts are served before 9am, while lunch and dinner options include barbecues and salad packs, which you can cook yourself. These include an assortment of meats for barbecuing and salads that change depending on the season.

On the deck area, there is a bar that serves alcohol, soft drinks, and a range of snacks if you get peckish throughout the day.

Activities at Vivonne Bay Lodge

The landscape surrounding the Lodge is the perfect backdrop for a range of activities. Whether you’re looking to chill out on the beach or get your adrenaline pumping with an adventure.

You can wander the length of Vivonne Bay, take a picnic on the beach, and hit the waves by surfing or swimming. Alternatively, you can take a fishing trip around the mouth of the Harriet River or up its length.

Elsewhere, there are numerous hiking trails throughout the property and beyond, two of which take your directly to the beachfront. You can also hire bikes from the Lodge and kayaks to explore the coastline with.
